Get to Know Me
Hi, I’m Vanessa, founder and lead supervisor at ChildFirst Supervision. I established this service to provide a safe, structured, and respectful environment for children and families participating in supervised contact visits.
I bring over 18 years of professional experience in youth case management and child care, with a strong understanding of child development, attachment, and the importance of maintaining safe and meaningful family relationships. Throughout my career, I have worked with children and families from diverse backgrounds, including those experiencing complex family circumstances, significant transitions, and additional support needs.
Previously, I worked as a Case Manager within youth services, where I held responsibility for coordinating and overseeing supervised contact visits and managing a team of youth workers delivering those visits. This role required comprehensive risk assessment, staff supervision, professional reporting, and sound decision making to ensure visits were conducted safely, ethically, and in accordance with organisational and court expectations.
As an independent provider, I personally manage all aspects of the service from intake and planning through to visit supervision and documentation. This ensures a high level of consistency, accountability, and a genuinely child-centred approach. I am committed to promoting children’s wellbeing while maintaining professionalism, neutrality, and respect for all parties involved.
